Brindabella & Aeropelican to consolidate their North West operation to Narrabri

Newly merged Brindabella and Aeropelican Airlines have announced a review of their North West operations.

Recent market feedback has indicated the strong demand for day return travel to and from South East Queensland from the North West region. As a result the two airlines are introducing afternoon services on Mondays and Thursdays for their direct Brisbane – Narrabri flights.

Changes to Terms & Conditions and Fare Rules

Brindabella Airlines' Terms and Conditions of Carriage will change from 19 December 2011, and the Fare categories and Rules will be adjusted from 17 January 2012.

Brisbane/Tamworth route – extra Monday flights

From 21 November 2011 Brindabella Airlines will operate three return services between Brisbane and Tamworth on Mondays – up from the current two services per day on Mondays. This will bring Monday’s schedule between Tamworth and Brisbane in line with Friday’s schedule. All other services will remain the same.

This is good news for the Tamworth community which will have a greater choice of travelling times on Mondays. It provides Brindabella customers with more options for returning home from those weekends away; for doing business, or to attend medical and other appointments. It also allows for better connections for travellers between Canberra and Brisbane who go via Tamworth.

Tamworth Country Music Festival

With Tamworth's Country Music Festival coming up in January 2012, Brindabella Airlines has scheduled more flights on its Canberra / Tamworth service to ensure that Canberra country music buffs can easily get to Tamworth and home again.

The service currently operates on Fridays, and from 17 October it will operate on Mondays and Fridays. During the Tamworth Country Music Festival week in January there will be even more flights to cater for the larger numbers expected to be travelling.

Brindabella Airlines' Canberra/Tamworth services are set to expand with the inclusion of Monday flights from 17 October 2011.

With Monday and Friday flights each week, passengers will now have more choices for their travel plans – and can travel more easily for those important weekend visits to friends and family.

First Anniversary of Cobar-Sydney Services

On 23 September 2011, Brindabella Airlines' Cobar to Sydney service will reach its first anniversary milestone.

It was 12 months ago that the brand new service commenced with the support and assistance of the Cobar Council and three local mines – Peak Gold Mines Pty Ltd, CBH Resources Ltd and Cobar Management Pty Ltd.

Brisbane-Armidale Launch

Brindabella Airlines’ new Armidale to Brisbane service commenced on 15 August, received with great enthusiasm from the Armidale community.

The inaugural service was farewelled by executives from Brisbane Airport and warmly welcomed by the Armidale Dumaresq Mayor and the local New South Wales Member for Northern Tablelands.

Brindabella Airlines is pleased to announce that it will be commencing regular passenger services between Brisbane and Armidale from Monday 15 August 2011, subject to regulatory approval.

Brindabella Airlines currently flies to a number of important regional centres from bases in Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane. Destinations include Cobar, Tamworth, Albury, Newcastle, Moree and Coffs Harbour.
