Brindabella Airlines' Terms and Conditions of Carriage will change from 19 December 2011, and the Fare categories and Rules will be adjusted from 17 January 2012.

CEO of Brindabella Airlines, Jeff Boyd said we have recently completed a review of the Fares and Terms and Conditions of Carriage, and we believe the changes we propose will make good sense for our customers and for the business. The changes to our standard Terms and Conditions of Carriage will simplify some administration aspects of the business, helping to keep our costs and ticket prices down. In addition, the new Fare types will create an easier choice for customers.

19 December 2011 - new Terms and Conditions of Carriage

Travel agents and customers should take note of the new arrangements from 19 December 2011 - including changes to excess baggage charges and slightly adjusted weight limits for carry on and checked baggage, amongst other things. Changes include:

• New excess baggage charge of $5.50 per kilo (inc GST) - down from $10 per kilo
• Excess baggage will be charged for all baggage in excess over 19kg (15kg checked baggage plus 4kg carry on permitted)
• Passengers with a forward international itinerary will be permitted up to 23kg, but they must present their itinerary to check-in staff
• Defence personnel will no longer be exempt from excess baggage charges

In recognition that there will be some adjustment for customers, a grace period applies.

17 January 2012 - new Fares and Fare Rules

From 17 January 2012, Brindabella Airlines Fare categories will go from four to three. The new fares will be called Fully Flexible, MaxiSaver and SuperSaver. Whilst still offering flexibility, the changes will create fewer fare types and greater simplicity for passengers.

For passengers who purchase their tickets before 17 January for travel after 17 January 2012, there may be some changes to the entitlements attaching to the tickets.
